To prepare for Tsagaan sar, every family prepares a lot of food and drink. Milk tea, booz and mutton are the main courses for the feast. In Ulaanbaatar the food market is busy with people selling frozen milk, airag, cheese and mutton. The market runs all day while air temperature is minus 15 to 20 degrees Celcius.
